The more children read the better readers they become!

Encourage your child to read by:

  • having reading materials that your child is interested in
  • reading and talking about books with your child
  • letting your child see you read
  • doing hands- on activities with your child about a book
  • going to the public or school library with them
  • watching a movie based on a book, then read the book and have your child compare and contrast the book to the movie
  • making reading FUN!
